Our History.
Anderson Music Academy Incorporated began in September of 2003. The business is locally owned by Bob Anderson and his son Jordy Anderson. Bob is a former band director and accomplished musician on saxophone and guitar. He also has many years of experience in the retail music business managing stores and private lesson programs. Jordy has a Bachelors Degree in music industry from Moorhead State University. His emphasis is recording studio engineering and guitar performance.   

The idea began when Bob and Jordy were talking about how they could build a recording studio in Jordy’s home in Champlin.  Soon after this discussion they decided instead to sign a lease in a commercial space available in Champlin, and incorporate both a recording studio and a music lessons business as a new venture.  Jordy would leave his job working for a high tech company in Chanhassen to serve as the manager, guitar teacher, and recording engineer for this new business.  Anderson Music Academy currently employs nine highly qualified teachers who are helping about 100 students per week become better musicians. Also our recording studio is busy almost every weekend with students and adults, amateurs and pros, taking advantage of the many affordable recording packages we offer.

We are located at the corner of 117th street and Winnetka avenue in Champlin, Minnesota.  The address is 11640 Winnetka Ave North, Champlin, MN 55316. Our phone # is 763-506-0222. Our hours are 1pm-8pm, Monday through Thursday.
